At What Age Do People Get Acne?

There has been much discussion about the topic of acne over the years, and that topic continues to rage, especially among those who suffer from this condition.

One part of that discussion focuses on “at what age do people get acne.” That question can only be answered in one way. People of all ages can be plagued with acne.

While this condition is predominantly seen in those between the ages of 12 and 24, and it affects Caucasians more frequently than other races, there is no one age or color of skin that is immune to this embarrassing skin disorder.

That means that addressing the causes of acne must be done if the individual experiencing it is ever going to be rid of it forever Of course, some detective work may be needed to find out what that cause is.

Hormonal changes have long been seen to be the overriding cause of acne. This is demonstrated by the fact that it usually gets its start during the early to late teens. This is the age when hormones run amuck as young people begin to mature.

While this is the usual age where acne begins and in fact is normally seen, it by no means relinquishes its hold on the individual just because they reach a particular age.

This is the reason many adults are searching for a cure to their own acne problems. At what age do people get acne?

Any person can get acne at any time during their life. Even people in their 60s and 70s can be plagued with acne from time to time. Knowing what to do for it when it occurs is essential for keeping it under control, and in fact getting rid of it altogether.
